Abstract: Patterns are determined of the interaction between hydrazine and methyl ether of 5-methyl-1-(2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid. A series of complexes is obtained: [(η6-cymene) RuCl(η1-Ln)] (1, 2, and 3), where L1 is methyl-1-(2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole-3-carbohydrazide, L2 is 4-iodo-3,5-dimethyl-1-(2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-4-hydrazinephenyl)pyrazole, L3 is 5-methyl-1-(4-bromo-3,5,6-trifluoro-2-hydrazinephenyl)-1H-3-carboxymethylpyrazole. Crystallization of complex 1 from acetonitrile in the presence of 1,4-C6F4I2 leads to the formation of ionic complex [(η6-cymene)RuCl(η2-L1)]Cl·1(1/4)(1,4-C6F4I2)·1/2MeCN (4·1.25(1,4-C6F4I2)·1/2MeCN).
