Abstract: This article is devoted to the development of a certified analytical technique (CAT) for neutron activation analysis by the short-lived radionuclides. The relevance of the problem is associated with the increasing demand for reliable analytical data under conditions of a significant reduction in the number of operating research reactors and corresponding analytical centers. Currently, there is no similar CAT certified both in the state register of measuring instruments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and in the register of measuring instruments of the post-Soviet space. A pneumatic transport system has been installed in a dedicated dry horizontal channel at the research nuclear reactor WWR-K (Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan). Irradiation of solid powder samples is carried out for 1–5 min with a neutron flux density of 1012n·cm− 2·s− 1. The metrological characteristics of CAT are determined using the mass fractions of elements in research and certified reference materials obtained under conditions of laboratory precision and trueness.
