| Abstract: |
In this study, we will analyze how acoustic modes propagate within a rectangular system exhibiting disorder in the compressibility term. Exponential correlations characterize the distribution of disorder. Our main objective is to investigate the behavior and velocity of harmonic mode packets as they traverse through this system. To achieve this, we will use a high-order finite difference formalism. We will also examine how the propagation is affected by the spectral structure of the incident pulse. We aim to understand better the interdependence between the system's correlations and the modes' behavior. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
