Abstract: The article focuses on the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) accelerating the commercialization of its research in mainland China, particularly in circular textile technologies and industry collaboration. At the 2026 Corporate Sustainability Development Conference in Shanghai, HKRITA’s Green Machine, a hydrothermal system for recycling blended polyester–cotton waste, was recognized as a leading environmental, social, and governance (ESG) innovation for enabling closed-loop recycling and reducing carbon emissions. Additionally, HKRITA signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Technology Transfer Services with Chengdu Qinggong Polytechnic University to enhance talent development, product innovation, and industry–academia integration aligned with China’s 15th Five-Year Plan. These efforts aim to strengthen the textile value chain and promote sustainable practices through research commercialization and cross-sector partnerships. [Extracted from the article]
