Abstract: This paper presents a dual-triggered adaptive tracking control scheme for a one-link manipulator to achieve prescribed finite-time performance. First, two prescribed finitetime performance functions (PFTPFs) are designed to constrain the angular position tracking error and guarantee desirable transient and steady-state performance. Second, a dual-triggered mechanism (DTM) is developed to reduce communication and computational loads, while addressing the mismatch between high-frequency control signals and slow digital actuator responses. Third, a single-parameter adaptive law is designed to reduce computational complexity. The proposed scheme guarantees uniform ultimate boundedness of closed-loop signals and eliminates Zeno behavior. Finally, simulation results verify that the proposed scheme achieves accurate tracking with fewer trigger events, strong robustness, and excellent prescribed performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
