Abstract: Autonomous control capability is the principle of human-machine gaming platforms. This research aimed at the control demands of Five-in-a-Row human vs. AI game platform to investigate control systems. The control system developed the upper computer vision and decision-making program through C# language and transmitted the decision-making data to the programmable logic controller (PLC) of the lower computer through communication protocols to drive the actuator to complete motion control, which ensured precise fusion of decision-making algorithms, machine vision, electrical control and actuator. The developed control system first analyzed the chess game image through vision algorithm to obtain board information. Then, it applied decision-making algorithm to calculate the positions of the dropped pieces and transmitted them to S7-1200 PLC, which was converted into motion instruction to drive the actuator to complete drop action until the winner was determined. Experimental verification revealed that the system was stable and accurate, meeting human-computer game platform control requirements and providing a reference for human-machine game theory and application.
