| Abstract: | The article focuses on the guidelines of hospital fire safety in England. Analysis of fire statistics and fire risk performance indicators show that the National Health Systems sets a high standard when compared to other occupancy types. Fire safety in hospitals cannot normally be based on immediate and total evacuation of the building as is the case in most other occupancy types. |
