Abstract: The article presents an overview of a hardware-independent sampling technique that focuses on transparency along with high speed and accuracy for architecture simulation. The technique uses a practical approach with warm-up and sampling costs that create significance on the sampling field in terms of region partitioning, the novelty of the clustering method, and the practicality of the technique. Facts and arguments on the practicality shortage of existing sampling techniques are also presented.
