Abstract: The article focuses on the one-pot sakurai-prins-ritter reaction in highly disastereoselective preparation of four-amino tetrahydropyrans procedure. The utilization of ritter reaction to quench the four-tetrahydropyranyl cation is successful with the overall sequence proceeding in excellent diastereoselectivity. A single stereocenter present in hydroxyacid starting material can controll up to four new stereocenters.
