Abstract: The article discusses problems associated with risks in the manufacturing supply chains. According to the author, the problems emanates from the failure of the manufacturer to design a supply chain that is capable of addressing risks and operate under conditions different from what they were originally designed. Moreover, a discussion on the susceptibility of companies to disruption and whether the use of advance technologies are useful in addressing the problem are discussed.
