| Abstract: |
The article presents a study that investigates the use of unsubstituted nitroacetic acid derivatives in combination with chiral proton catalysis to effect diastereo and enantioselective addition reactions. Substituted glycines are produced with good enantioselection and in a single operation using unsymmetrical Bis(AMidine) complex 2. Moreover, the study suggests that the used strategy is more applicable to the straightforward enantioselective synthesis of epimerizable non-natural amino acids. |
