Abstract: A description of neutron detector with Si diode and 6LiF neutron converter is presented. Reasons for use of an air gap between the Si diode and the neutron converter are given. To demonstrate the quality of the detector, pulse height spectra have been measured on the epithermal neutron beam of the LVR-15 research reactor in different conditions. The results have been compared with activation method measurements. [Copyright &y& Elsevier] |
