The article examines the significance of computer-aided spec writing in translating specifications into information that is usable and actionable by humans and machines. Computer technology is undoubtedly helpful in many aspect of the human life because of the development of various softwares that can automate previously manual process of spec writing, generate specifications from plans and building information models. It is predicted that specifications will be fully integrated with models that contain and linked to component and assembly models of actual products. |
