| Abstract: |
This article discusses efforts to establish predictive control over nonlinear chemical processes despite the physical limitations of control systems. The development of a predictive control for the initial conditions of the null controllable region in a linear system is discussed. The null controllable region is the part of a linear system where no feedback is generated to inform efforts to control the system. The expansion of that model so that it can expand the initial conditions and use these as predictive controls for nonlinear process systems is discussed. This model is applied to a chemical reactor example and the modeling of a styrene polymerization process. |
