Abstract: The article provides information on the history of modern jewelry in the U.S. In 1936, artist Sam Kramer started to make jewelry influenced by Surrealism, in which he drew on the part of the modern experiment that dropped around the fantasy and the absurd. In 1950's, modernist jewelers, has become an official style, which taken up by the university and the museum. Further, it mentions that identification as art became the doctrine of modernist jewelry.
