| Abstract: |
The article presents a study on the preparation of fabricated polyethylene/boron containing multifunctional nanocomposites for mechanical and radiation shielding applications. It examines the melt blending of composites with micron size particles of boron nitride and boron carbide, and shows the measurement of the shielding effectiveness of the composites using dose transmission. Also presented is the trend of elongation at break values for the boron nitride nanocomposites based on tensile tests. |
