The article focuses on a system architecture that enables integration of lean-back news consumption in the Internet and file-based production of all available news material for varied audiences. It examines the model employed by the Belgium-based public service broadcaster Vlaamse Radio-en Televisieomroep (VRT) wherein automatic news composition and distribution is made available to end users. Personalized news is also achieved through a vodcast generated interface. |
