Abstract: The article provides information related to American National Standards Institute (ANSI Standards). It says that meetings of the National Standards Committees including S1, S2 and S3 will be held in conjunction with the 157th meeting of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) on May 18-22, 2009 in Portland, Oregon. It presents several revisions in the ANSI Standards including the standard on the method for measuring the intelligibility of speech over communication systems and the specification of the characteristics of hearing aids. It also offers new standards in various organizations including the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the ASA.
