| Abstract: |
The article offers information on the experiences of several steering committee chairpersons on the organized MTT-S International Microwave Symposia (IMS) held in Boston, Massachusetts. It primarily highlights how these chairpersons coordinated and handled the event since it was held in 1967, as well as how the event was accomplished. Specifically, the 1967 Chairman of MTT-S Boston Symposium Ted Saad reveals how technical the gathering was in 1967, undertaken without an industry-based exhibition. Meanwhile, the 1983 chairman Harlan Howe Jr. reminisces the 1983 symposium to be the first event in Boston with most attendance by 5168. In addition, the 2000 chairman Glen Thoren reflects the year's symposium to determine a new record as the number of exhibitor booths reach 803. |
