Abstract:	The article discusses questions that the author has raised regarding the education of reference librarians. Questions that are discussed in the article include what are the differences between teaching and training, how should personal experiences be discussed with students and should online classes be taught in the same manner as in-person classes. Personal experiences that the author has had in addressing each of these questions in relation to teaching a class about reference librarianship are discussed.
