Abstract: Abstract: Microwave irradiation of a mixture of K7[PW11O39]·14H2O and [Ru(dmf)6](CF3SO3)3 allowed the straightforward hydrothermal synthesis of the Keggin-type [PW11O39RuIII(OH2)]4− anion. Physical characterizations of the corresponding tetrabutylammonium (TBA) salt are herein described. This study provides a complete set of spectroscopic and electrochemical references for RuIII-incorporating heteropolytungstates. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
