The article reports on the developments in various additive categories over the year of 2009. In the aesthetic property modifiers category, it notes the nGrain technology launched by Americhem Inc. and Ampacet Corp.'s chrome-alternative color masterbatch. Meanwhile, BIOtech Products LLC developed the additive BIOchem for the reduction of stress in the landfill. Another was the polymer additive Microgels developed by Lanxess Corp., which is said to improve thermoplastic and elastomeric materials. |
