Abstract (English): The use of systematic design methodology and the formation of concurrent multinational design teams are critical for the development of innovative products and the competitiveness in the global market. Therefore, there is an increasing need in forming engineers with the necessary competencies to be successful working in multinational design teams. In response, a group of institutions members of the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions (LACCEI) introduced international collaborative experiences for undergraduate students through multinational design projects. The collaborative projects carried out within the framework of LACCEI suggested the development of educational material in this particular area that could be accessible for all universities participating in this effort. This paper reports the virtual course developed for undergraduate students on collaborative global design. A comprehensive description of the course and its applications will be discussed.
