Abstract: The article presents a paper on the application of open-software message passing interface input/output (MPI-IO) for General Parallel File System (GPFS). It uses a collective file write strategy on GPFS data-shipping and view-based collective input/output (I/O) mechanism on GPFS mechanisms. It adds that the application was made with high-performance due to the mixture of view-based collective file accesses, overlapping of computation, communication and I/O, and hiding of file writes latency.
