| Abstract: | The article explains the role of electric discharge machining (EDM) in enhancing manufacturing processes, which was addressed at the International Manufacturing Technology Show 2010. Steve Bond of EDM importer Methods Machines Tools tells that EDMs must by enhanced first in terms of surface finish and accuracy before improving the speed of the manufacturing processes. Advanced EDMs were also introduced during the show including the OttoPro sinker EDM by Belmont, VZ series by Sodick and EDAF Series by Makino. |
