Abstract (English): In this article, it will be carried out an itemized analysis of the welding sources evolution in their last stage, to outline the future forecasts that are expected in this field that so much importance has at the present time. On the other hand, and keeping in mind the new requirements of efficiency and reliability that are demanded to the welding sources, is necessary to analyze if the technology of production of these sources is as mature as it is said or it is necessary to impel it more in some concrete aspects of the same one. Abstract (Spanish): En este artículo, se realizará un análisis pormenorizado de la evolución de las fuentes de soldadura en su última etapa, para plantear las previsiones futuras que se esperan en este campo que tanta importancia tiene en la actualidad. Por otra parte, y teniendo en cuenta los nuevos requerimientos de eficiencia y fiabilidad que se les exige a las fuentes de soldadura, es preciso analizar si la tecnología de fabricación de estas fuentes se encuentra tan madura como se dice o es preciso impulsarla más en algunos aspectos concretos de la misma.
