The article discusses the national economic strategy in aiding distressed communities in the U.S. It explores the problems of distressed communities including unemployment, economic contractions during recessions, and falling wages and land prices. It outlines strategy in helping distresses communities including attracting businesses to create jobs, raise wages, and local services, aiding displaced workers and improving policy that speed up recovery as well as matching workers to new jobs. |
