Abstract: The article focuses on the use of laboratory (lab) reports as lab instructions in teaching science. Researches on lab reports show that it only depicts the aspects of practical lab works rather than mastery of subject matter. The author develops a lesson design in teaching science laboratory, in which students had to repeat their experiments using only the instructions provided in their own lab reports.
