Abstract: Presents a study which describes the preparation of 3'-alkynyluridine and -adenosine and of 3'-alkynyl-2'-deoxyuridine and -adenosinr starting from the corresponding nucleasides. Evaluation of the anti-HIV activity of the C-3 modified nucleosides; General procedure for the selective deprotection of 2', 5'-O-Bis-TBDMS-ketonucleosides; Disadvantage of this approach; Results of the study.
