Abstract (English): A community is a group of people who share a common characteristic, may or may not live in the same territorial space. This research was done in the province of El Oro, where we contribute to the identification of priorities for the integral human development from the approach of self-development, implementing prioritization exercises and validation/approval meetings, which resulted in a territorial management tool, recognized by the legislature of the province. The Community Self-development Methodology drew the participation and cooperation in the intervention process, also generated confidence in the group expressed in the willingness to join forces around a common goal.
