Abstract:	The article focuses on the trend toward technological social interaction and its impact on the incidence of obesity in teenagers. The author notes that both work and leisure technology have led to the phenomenon of "cocooning" in which most activities can be accomplished without leaving the home or work desk. The impact of mobile technologies on increasingly sedentary behavior in teenagers is mentioned. The author discusses the need for the development of taxonomies concerning technologies, such as video games, for further empirical research.
