Abstract: The article reports on research which was conducted to review several research studies on gambling in an effort to determine the role that parents with gambling problems played in the development of compulsive gambling in their children. Several studies were evaluated. Researchers found that children with parents who had gambling problems were found to be at a higher risk of developing a compulsive gambling problem and that those children would have difficulties managing future life problems without some sort of intervention.
