| Abstract: | The article discusses the role of deixis in know-how and its manifestation in expert performance. Topics discussed include the distinction between empirical and philosophical studies of expertise, the use of explicit knowledge by experts such as in the practice of certain professional competencies, and variation in the propositional structures needed for the epistemological justification of know-that and know-how. |
