| Abstract (English): |
This article presents a proposal of activities framed on an educational proposal based on human rights in order to assert their importance through various practical activities carried out in higher education. The purpose of the chosen activities is that students reflect on human rights so that they can improve their critical awareness and their commitment in defending them. The participants are University students of the degree in English Studies at the University of Alicante. A cooperative methodology was used; moreover, students answered an anonymous survey in order to know certain aspects related to the different activities. It is concluded that the educational approach presented is suitable for students to be sensitized and to acquire different types of competences, to highlight critical thinking and the importance of human rights nowadays. Este artículo presenta una propuesta de actividades enmarcadas en el enfoque educativo basado en los derechos humanos (EBDH) con el fin de reivindicar su importancia en la educación superior. Las actividades seleccionadas tienen como finalidad que el alumnado reflexione sobre los derechos humanos de modo que mejore su conciencia crítica y su compromiso en la defensa de los mismos. Los participantes son estudiantes universitarios del grado en Estudios Ingleses de la Universidad de Alicante. Se empleó una metodología cooperativa; además, el alumnado respondió de manera anónima a una encuesta con el fin de conocer determinados aspectos relacionados con las actividades realizadas. Se concluye que el EBDH es adecuado para que el alumnado y adquiera distintos tipos de competencias, para fomentar el pensamiento crítico y la importancia de los derechos humanos en la actualidad.
