Abstract (English): In this work, referring to the theory of probabilities, at first we check and document the heuristics and cognitive biases presented by engineering students, particularly in telematics engineering students of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) in Mexico City. Second, we discussed the need to address these biases from the knowledge of fast thinking and thinking slowly as a framework proposed by Kahneman and its possible impact on future research in education.
