Abstract (English): This work explores periodic publications that have science textbooks (TB) as object of study. The review was performed in free access Education and Science Teaching journals, from 2007-2018. The papers were chosen in function of their TB scientific content analysis focus and, particularly, energy and its conservation related perspectives followed in them. This was an exploratory study that used content analysis techniques. From the concluded study it follows that the number of papers of this nature slightly increased over the years, and reported inquiries mainly correspond to books used in high school, mostly from Physics subject. In the established period of time, papers dedicated to energy conservation principle in TB were not found [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
