If queer studies is marked by an intervention of decentering the center, a deconstruction of categories of difference, a fluidity of being and becoming, and a radical politics of multiplicity, then queer of color analysis explicitly adds an intersectional and historical materialist analysis to understanding the epistemologies and exigencies of queer people of color. The collection of articles for this symposium forms a queeruptive assemblage that exchanges information and challenges hegemonic discourses of queer people of color.
