Abstract: If queer studies is marked by an intervention of decentering the center, a deconstruction of categories of difference, a fluidity of being and becoming, and a radical politics of multiplicity, then queer of color analysis explicitly adds an intersectional and historical materialist analysis to understanding the epistemologies and exigencies of queer people of color. The collection of articles for this symposium forms a queeruptive assemblage that exchanges information and challenges hegemonic discourses of queer people of color. Shifting the lens from youth and communities to higher education, B Vijay Kanagala b and B Steven Oliver b illuminate the narratives of student affairs professionals and the challenges they face in "Our Younger Selves: QPOC Student Affairs Professionals Supporting QPOC Students.".
