| Abstract (English): |
Gender violence is a phenomenon that affects society. For that reason, this essay focuses on the following two objectives: a) discuss the importance of addressing moral reasoning around patriarchal culture in formal education; and b) expose the relationship between moral education in terms of human rights and the emotional dimension of apprentices. For the discussion on the role of moral reasoning, the contributions of Lawrence Kohlberg's theory of moral development are included. Later, the role that feelings would have in moral education and a proposal of education based on love are exposed. It is concluded that it is essential to address moral reasoning to prevent gender-based violence, but it must be an activity complemented by virtuous practice around human rights. La violencia de género es un fenómeno que afecta a la sociedad. Por esa razón, este ensayo se enfoca en los siguientes dos objetivos: a) discutir la importancia de abordar los razonamientos morales en torno a la cultura patriarcal en la educación formal; y b) exponer la relación que existe entre la educación moral en función de los derechos humanos y la dimensión emocional de los aprendices. Para la discusión sobre el rol de los razonamientos morales se incluyen los aportes de la teoría del desarrollo moral de Lawrence Kohlberg. Posteriormente, se expone el rol que tendrían los sentimientos en la educación moral y una propuesta de educación basada en el amor. Se concluye que es fundamental abordar los razonamientos morales para prevenir la violencia de género, pero debe ser una actividad complementada con la práctica virtuosa en torno a los derechos humanos.
