Abstract: In the COVID-19 era, health students were confronted with a double mission: serving the health system strained by the exceptional health situation and continuing to train for their future profession 1. The picture we describe here reveals that mobilising health students and teachers to face the COVID-19 crisis while maintaining high-level training was not only possible, but also efficient in terms of knowledge acquisition and skills development. Like Antigone, health students have had to face and reconcile fair and opposing moral demands based on conviction (i.e. serving) and duty (i.e. training) during the health crisis.
