The article discusses supporting early literacy development for students impacted by emergency pandemic instruction. It highlights that children were hit particularly hard by the shift to online instruction. It presents the views of professor Emily Solari from the University of Virginia on the negative effects of the pandemic instruction on low income students, English learners, students with disabilities, and children of color. |
