Abstract (English): The objective of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of GeoGebra as a meaningful learning strategy in the study of graphs and transformations of functions by students of the Fundamentals of Calculus course at Universidad Continental. The research was experimental with a quasi-experimental design. As a sample, the students of the engineering course were considered, taking two non-random sections of 35 students each. Descriptive statistics and the t-student test for independent samples were used. The results ratify the hypotheses of the study, therefore, it is concluded that the use of GeoGebra as a strategy favors significant learning in the study of graphs and transformations of functions, benefiting, in addition, the domain related to the dimensions associated with the management of the definitions of functions, domain, range, characteristics of the different functions. And it is recommended the use of the software in the development of class sessions, especially at this time when the health emergency leads us to the development of classes virtually.
