Abstract (English): The article analyzes the presence of theatrical education in the Spanish language and literature textbooks of compulsory secondary education. Its presence in the curriculum is examined, and the percentage of pages dedicated to this topic in nine textbooks is shown. The importance of combining qualitative and quantitative approaches in educational research is highlighted. Additionally, the scarce presence of female playwrights in the analyzed manuals is mentioned. It is also concluded that it is necessary to incorporate theatrical education more systematically in the manuals and give visibility to the work of female playwrights. [Extracted from the article]
Abstract (Spanish): El artículo analiza la presencia de la educación teatral en los libros de texto de lengua castellana y literatura de educación secundaria obligatoria. Se examina su presencia en el currículum y se muestra el porcentaje de páginas dedicadas a esta temática en nueve libros de texto. Se destaca la importancia de combinar enfoques cualitativos y cuantitativos en la investigación educativa. Además, se menciona la escasa presencia de dramaturgas en los manuales analizados. También se concluye que es necesario incorporar de manera más sistemática la educación teatral en los manuales y dar visibilidad al trabajo de las dramaturgas. [Extracted from the article]
