The article documents the process carried out for the design of a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on the development of socio-emotional skills, which is intended for university students. It describes both the rationale for the proposal and the stages of the process, as well as the rationale of the proposal. The results of the course evaluation are also outlined. Two instruments were used: the first one, designed ad hoc, measures satisfaction, while the second measures the development of emotional intelligence and social skills. El artículo documenta el proceso realizado para el diseño de un MOOC (Massive Open Online Course, por sus siglas en inglés) sobre desarrollo de habilidades socioemocionales dirigido a estudiantes de educación superior. Se describe tanto la fundamentación de la propuesta, como las fases del proceso. De igual forma, se describen los resultados de la evaluación del curso después de su implementación, para lo cual se utilizaron dos instrumentos: el primero fue diseñado ad hoc, para medir la satisfacción, mientras que el segundo midió el desarrollo de la inteligencia emocional y las habilidades sociales; mediante un instrumento previamente validado en población latinoamericana.
