Abstract: The article presents the discussion on scholars and university cover-ups demanding critical attention to academic environments which being experienced by diverse actors. Topics include inequitable professional norms around emotional labour undergird the toleration of gendered and sexual harassment in academic environments; and diverse responses to the idea showing identities impacting the academic experiences and vice versa.
