| Abstract (English): |
This research will examine the potential of sexuality education to be an effective strategy to prevent bullying in students. Sociological theories are used as a guide, and it is examined to what extent the teaching of sexual education could comply with the qualities of the curricular reforms of sexual education in Ecuador that allow to reduce the cases of sexual harassment and the risk factors that are involved. the students. This paper synthesizes what is known about the drivers of sexual violence perpetration and the potential impacts of comprehensive sexuality education to argue for the importance of future research in this area. The main recommendation is that longitudinal research examine the impact of sexuality education teaching on the perpetration of bullying in students, as well as other sexual and reproductive health outcomes. En esta investigación se examinará el potencial de la educación sexual, para ser una estrategia efectiva para prevenir el acoso en los estudiantes. Se utilizan teorías sociológicas como guía, y se examina hasta qué punto la enseñanza de la educación sexual podría cumplir con las cualidades de las reformas curriculares de educación sexual en el Ecuador que permitan disminuir los casos de acoso sexual y los factores de riesgo que están implicados los estudiantes. Este documento sintetiza lo que se sabe sobre los impulsores de la perpetración de violencia sexual y los posibles impactos de la educación sexual integral para argumentar la importancia de futuras investigaciones en esta área. La recomendación principal es que la investigación longitudinal examine el impacto de la enseñanza de educación sexual en la perpetración del acoso en los estudiantes, así como en otros resultados de salud sexual y reproductiva.
