| Abstract: | This article provides an overview of the module development process for the Instructional Topics in Educational Measurement Series (ITEMS). The author outlines the ten steps necessary to complete a module, including outlining the content, developing the content in PowerPoint templates, recording audio, and building interactive learning checks. Authors have the option to have their module externally reviewed before or after recording audio. After receiving reviewer feedback, authors have the opportunity to revise their module before it is published on the ITEMS portal. The final step is for the author to write a two-page manuscript for publication in Educational Measurement: Issues and Practice (EM:IP).
