| Abstract (English): | The article discusses the format of educational research articles and raises the question of whether this format is a guide or a straitjacket. It highlights that the Mexican Journal of Educational Research (RMIE) does not establish a pre-established format, allowing each author to organize their article according to their own logical exposition. The debate on the use of the IMRYD format (introduction, method, results, and discussion) in the educational field is mentioned, and it is argued that this format does not adapt well to qualitative research.
