This article provides a firsthand account of the author's experiences running the original marathon route in Greece and participating in the Athens marathon. It also delves into their involvement in the DX Foot Club (DXFC), which entails visiting and operating from different countries. The author shares their preparations for the CQ World Wide DX Contest and their interactions with amateur radio associations in Greece and the Balkans. Additionally, the article touches on the author's passion for aviation and their aspiration to obtain a European pilot license. Throughout their journey, the author engages in a radio contest, explores various destinations in Greece and neighboring countries, operates their radio equipment in different locations, and takes part in the Marathon marathon.
