This work documents a research exercise that aimed to propose a set of actions for tutorial intervention with undergraduate students at academic risk. This is a descriptive study, where in addition to an exhaustive literature review, quantitative and quali tative techniques were used, as well as the participation of a significant number of specialists and tutors in the validation and opinion processes. The exercise is based on the need to add clarity about the scope of tutoring, particularly from the intervention with students at risk, as well as highlight and explore the role of the tutor as a close companion to students with greater care needs. El presente trabajo documenta un ejercicio de investigación que tuvo como objetivo proponer un conjunto de acciones para la intervención tutorial con alumnos de licenciatura en riesgo académico. Se trata de un estudio descriptivo, en donde además de una exhaustiva revisión de literatura, se utilizaron técnicas cuantitativas y cualitativas, así como la participación de un número importante de especialistas y tutores en los procesos de validación y opinión. El ejercicio se sustenta en la necesidad de sumar claridad sobre el alcance de las tutorías particularmente desde la intervención con alumnos en riesgo, así como destacar y explorar el rol del tutor como un acompañante cercano a estudiantes con mayores necesidades de atención.
